Choosing an International Away Rotation
There are a two main routes you can go through to find an appropriate international rotation. A small number of students elect to pursue one of the few international away opportunities run by UIC at each of the different campuses. The majority of UIC medical students who go abroad plan their own rotations or find an organized program unaffiliated with UIC.

UIC Programs
There are a few formal pre-set international away opportunities that interested students can pursue. Spots for medical students may be limited so be sure to make contact with the organizers as soon as you are able.

Non UIC Programs
Many students decide to tailor their international away experience to fit their specific interests. Some decide to join a trip organized by another school or medical organization while others create their own individual experience by directly contacting a hospital or clinic in a region of interest.
